Steve Harvey's Vision: Bringing Opportunity and Inspiration to Rwanda

In a city that never stops evolving, Rwanda has found an admirer in American comedian and TV icon Steve Harvey. Harvey, a veteran entertainer at 67, recently visited Rwanda for the second time in two months—this time as a guest at the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) awards and general assembly. But for Harvey, the visit wasn’t just about appearances—it was about possibilities.

Describing Rwanda as “a unique country,” Harvey spoke passionately about its transformation over the past three decades, praising its leadership and resilience. “The fact that you have overcome these challenges is a testament to your leadership,” he noted in a televised interview, urging the world to take lessons in kindness, forgiveness, and governance from Rwanda.

For Harvey, Rwanda’s youthful energy is the catalyst for his interest in investing. “You need to focus on the youth; they are the future,” he said. The *Family Feud* host shared plans to explore business ventures that will create jobs and nurture entrepreneurial talent. “We have to create opportunities for the massive population of young people on the continent,” he added, emphasizing that empowering the next generation is key to sustainable progress.

On his first visit, Harvey highlighted Rwanda’s favorable business environment, shaped by intentional leadership. After meeting President Paul Kagame, he expressed confidence in the country’s economic direction, calling Rwanda “amicable to doing business.”

From comedy stages to boardrooms, Steve Harvey has mastered the art of reinvention, and Rwanda may soon witness that legacy firsthand. “It’s a special place,” Harvey reflected, “and I think we can build businesses here.”

As Harvey explores what could be next for Rwanda, one thing is clear—this partnership of vision and opportunity has all the makings of a remarkable story.
